Bake Sale Brings Community Together for a Sweet Cause
Yesterday afternoon, on the hottest day of the year so far, the pavement outside the Lisieux Trust Office was transformed into a colourful and welcoming bake sale, all in support of Learning Disabilities Awareness Week. The event not only raised vital funds for the Trust, but also brought residents, staff, and the local community together.
An impressive array of cakes and sweet treats tempted passers-by, from classic cupcakes and brownies to beautifully decorated biscuits. Special thanks go to Resident Lucy and Lucy, a member of Trust staff, for their incredible baking efforts – the homemade Jammie Dodger cakes were a huge hit with everyone who stopped by.
The event attracted members of the local community and schoolchildren on their way home, many of whom took time to chat with our residents and tenants, helping to build awareness and encourage inclusion.

Away from the sweet treats, Tom, one of our tenants, proudly sold his patented loom bands – adding a creative twist to the event and showcasing the talents within our community.
The event was organised by Becky, one of our fantastic Supported Living Managers and we’re thrilled to share that we raised almost £50, which will go directly towards future activities for our residents and tenants. Thank you to everyone who baked, bought, and supported the day!
