Dance Class Shakes Off The Cobwebs
Over two lively days, Residents and Tenants from across the Trust came together to take part in a dance workshop that brought energy, creativity, and plenty of fun. Led by our new volunteer Jemima, the sessions explored two very different dance styles—starting with elegant ballet and finishing with an upbeat routine inspired by Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off.
The ballet session focused on posture, poise, and flowing movement, allowing participants to try something new while developing balance and coordination. In contrast, the Shake It Off routine encouraged everyone to let loose and express themselves with enthusiasm—there was plenty of laughter, cheering, and of course, some serious dance moves!

The workshops created a wonderful sense of togetherness. They gave newer Residents a chance to bond with familiar faces and offered a warm welcome to a couple of individuals who will be joining us soon. The shared experience of dancing, laughing, and learning brought people closer in a natural, joyful way.
After about an hour of practice, the group performed both routines for managers at Head Office. The response was rapturous applause, recognising not only the hard work and talent on show, but also the incredible team spirit that made the workshops so special.
