Hayley Happy In New Role
We’re pleased to share that Hayley Watson has recently accepted the role of Registered Manager in Supported Living. We caught up with her to reflect on what has been a whirlwind year at Lisieux Trust.
Hayley joined the organisation nearly a year ago and has already built up a wealth of experience across several roles. Starting out as a Relief Manager, she also supported with compliance work early on, giving her a broad understanding of services across the Trust.
“It’s been a varied 12 months – I’ve had three different job roles, which has been really good experience.”
Now, just a couple of weeks into her new position, Hayley is already settling in and making a positive impression. She spoke warmly about the welcome she’s received from colleagues, residents, and families alike:
“Everyone’s been really welcoming, which has been really nice. The families have been lovely too.”
Before joining Lisieux Trust, Hayley worked as a Registered Manager supporting both children and adults within family settings. However, she admits she’s pleased to be back working more closely with adults, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism.
“I did miss working with adults – it’s where my passion is.”
Hayley will be managing multiple services, including 3 Bishops and the soon-to-open Cofield Flat. With the opening of the new service just around the corner from where she also manages on Boldmere Road, she’s looking forward to getting fully involved and making a difference from day one.
“It’ll be really nice to get stuck in.”
One of the most meaningful parts of Hayley’s journey has been rebuilding her confidence after leaving her previous role. She credits the support of her colleagues at Lisieux Trust as playing a key part in that process.
“When I left my last job, I lost my confidence a little bit. It’s been nice to feel really supported here – it’s helped me gain that confidence again.”
