Line Dancing Afternoon Brings Fun And Music
The recent Line Dancing afternoon was a wonderful success.
The fun afternoon – organised by staff at one of our houses for the benefit of the whole Trust – saw more than 30 residents and staff attend.
It had originally been planned as a solely line dancing event, but in typical Trust style, our Residents and Tenants didn’t follow the scheduled script and just went for it!
From country standards to Footloose, just about anything you could dance to was on view, but it didn’t matter, as everyone had a fantastic time!
Support Worker, Donna, one of the organisers of the event, said: “It was brilliant. There’s nothing better than when everyone gets together – they are so much fun.”
Resident Maura, who attended reckoned that she was glad to hear one of her favourite songs played, adding: “I was singing and dancing to Shania Twain.”
While Zena – who told us how much she was looking forward to going to see Texas in concert in the autumn – added: “It was great. I had a little dance!”
This is the latest in a series of regular events designed to bring the whole Trust together. Some are organised by staff, like this one, but others are thought up by Residents and Tenants themselves, like the Makaton Training that has proved so popular over the last few months. The next one of these is scheduled for the end of July.
