Two Gold Medals would be good enough for most people. However, what about adding a silver medal two bronze awards – and a raffle win?

That’s the haul from one of our Tenants as she celebrated yet more sporting excellence earlier this month.

Joanne was representing the City of Birmingham Swimming Team at an event in Crewe, and pulled off an incredible feat as she tells us: “I got two golds, in the 25-metre Breast Stroke and the 50-metre Breast Stroke, and two bronzes too.”

She celebrated team success as well, as the City of Birmingham squad, as they came second in the relay event – pitted against teams from across the country. I am very happy, I did very well.”

Despite the success, Jo – ever the perfectionist – was “disappointed” to only come 7^th in the Freestyle event. She was delighted, though to share the success with her mum who was with her on the coach and cheered her on throughout the event.

That’s not all that Jo won though. She also had the winning ticket drawn out at the raffle, and picked up this giant teddy.

The sporty Aston Villa supporting tenant  – who is pictured playing Table Tennis at Special Olympics and is also an award-winning skier – is next in action on July 20^th , this time competing in an Athletics event.
