Pen Pals Afternoon Brings Fun
The Pen Pals afternoon – the latest in a series of events organised by tenants for others – was a tremendous success yesterday.
The event held at Head Office, was another one thought up by resident Rosa, who has been the driving force behind the get-togethers for residents and tenants so that the Trust all comes together.
The events are always full of fun and laughter, and yesterday was no different as staff, tenants and residents all wrote letters to people they hope will become friends.
Rosa, has a keen interest in friendship, having organised her first event at Christmas so that people didn’t get lonely.

She said: “We’ve posted the letters, we wrote eight altogether, I counted them. And let’s hope we can make new friends.”
Rosa’s attitude fits in perfectly with the ethos of the trust which is all about friendship, fun and people coming together.
We will, of course, let you know if any friendships begin as a result of the letters that the Trust Family sent out this week.
As for Rosa, she has big plans for her next event. She is teaming up with another prominent member of the trust, Maura, and the pair plan to put on two Makaton workshops next month they will doubtless be wonderful occasions.
