Residents Participate In The Ebrook Summer Concert -by Bella
Today, at Ebrook Resource Centre, a number of residents participated in the annual summer concert.
Maura, Peter, Steven, Wanda, Peter and Simon were all key figures in this concert, singing a range of favourites.
Wanda started off the concert with her spirited rendition of ‘Summer Holiday’ by Cliff Richard, which was then followed by Maura’s soulful ‘Sweet Caroline’, getting everyone involved in the fun.

Steven, Simon and both Peters were part of the wonderful chorus of skilful percussion players, and in the second half, Peter donned his pink hat (pictured) to join in with the Michael Jackson tribute that was performed.
One of the special moments we witnessed in the concert consisted of Maura coming to the aid of one of the other participants who was struggling to sing ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ on her own, creating a heartwarming spectacle for all friends and family in the audience to see.
Overall, the day was full of fun, noise and laughter, making for an incredibly enjoyable event.
Bella, who is with the trust this week on work experience, was full of praise and enjoyment after the performance and said, ‘The show was so uplifting; seeing everyone expressing themselves with so much joy really makes you think about the fact that even when people need support, they still have so much fun in seemingly small things like their enthusiasm and love for music.’
