Neena Vadhar

Trustee

I am an experienced clinical pharmacist with over 20 years of working across NHS primary care, hospital and community settings. Though my roots are from Kenya, Birmingham has been my home for over 12 years.

My career has been shaped by a deep commitment to improving the safety, quality and personalisation of healthcare, particularly for people who may be vulnerable or underserved. In my role within the Black Country Integrated Care System, I have led medicines optimisation programmes, strengthened governance and oversight, supported organisations to meet CQC standards, and helped deliver system-wide improvements.  My strengths lie in my clinical knowledge and attention to detail, and these qualities continue to guide me in my work.

What motivates me most is making a meaningful difference to people’s lives. I believe strongly in equity, fairness, choice, and autonomy, and I want everyone to feel seen, supported and respected. I try to lead with compassion, positivity and kindness, and aim to inspire confidence through safe, effective and person-centred decision-making.

Outside of work, I try to live in a way that brings balance and joy. I enjoy keeping fit, working on my yoga practice, cooking, gardening and settling down with a good film. I also absolutely love pets — they bring so much warmth, calm and fun into everyday life.
