I became Chair of Lisieux Trust in December 2025, having first joined the Board as Chair Elect in September 2025. My connection to the charity goes back decades: from 1987 to 1995, I volunteered at Lisieux House, the Trust’s very first home, supporting residents and staff, and helping to shape the caring community that still thrives today.
Since those early days, I have built a career leading organisations in further education and skills, including 14 years as Chief Executive of a further education membership body and awarding organisation charity. I now advise on mergers and acquisitions in the education and skills sector.
I have also served as a trustee of several charities, chaired the national trade body for awarding organisations, and chaired the trustees of my local church, where I was also a senior leader. These roles reflect my long-standing commitment to governance, community service, and values-led leadership.
Alongside my professional experience, I studied at Harvard Business School, completing the Certificate of Management Excellence in November 2023. I hold a Master’s in Personnel & Development, a BA (Hons) in Hotel and Catering Management, and I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
I am married with two adult children, and outside of work I have recently taken up running. I also serve as a volunteer chaplain at Birmingham Airport, offering care and support to staff and passengers in everyday and challenging moments.
As Chair of Lisieux Trust, I am passionate about ensuring the charity continues to thrive, providing safe, supportive homes and opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism. My journey from volunteer at Lisieux House to Chair of Trustees reflects a lifelong dedication to helping people flourish.
