We’re thrilled to share that three members of the Lisieux Trust family have been nominated for prestigious honours at the 2025 Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards!

Helen Massey, a long-standing and much-loved member of staff, has been recognised for her outstanding support work. But true to form, Helen was quick to downplay her nomination, saying, “It’s not about me – it’s all about the guys. They’re the reason we do what we do.” Known for her compassion, consistency and unwavering positivity, Helen added: “I’m proud of everything we do here – supporting people to be themselves, make their own decisions, and live life to the full.”

Joining her in the spotlight is Danielle, a relative newcomer who has already made a big impact since joining the Trust. Despite not having worked in care before, she took the leap – and has never looked back. “I absolutely love it,” she said. “Every day is different – there’s always something new to do. It’s one of the best jobs ever.”

Reflecting on her journey, Danielle added: “I was quite surprised how well I took to the job. Everyone says how well I’ve done – I’ve just slotted in.” Her energy and willingness to get stuck in have made her a standout member of the team.

We’re also proud to celebrate Alison O’Meara, our Operations Manager, who has been nominated in the Outstanding Contribution category. A previous winner herself, Alison’s nomination is a powerful acknowledgement of her ongoing leadership, dedication and support for both staff and residents. Her drive to make Lisieux Trust the best it can be continues to shape our culture and values.

The Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards recognise excellence, compassion and innovation across the sector – and we couldn’t be prouder to see Helen, Danielle and Alison celebrated on a national stage.

No matter the outcome, these nominations shine a light on the extraordinary heart and commitment found across Lisieux Trust every single day.
