Trust Staff At Champion Of Champions Awards

02 Jul 2024 | Category: News

Three Trust Staff attended the IPC Champions Forum in Birmingham today, where they were all nominated for the IPC Champion of Champions Award 2024.

Support Workers Donna Gustav and Louise Osbourne as well as Deputy Manager, John Gillon were all nominated after their astonishing score of 98% at a recent inspection from the  Birmingham City Council Infection Prevention and Control Team.

Unfortunately, the trio did not take home the team prize, but CEO Jess Alsop-Greenacre also attended the event with the nominees and said: “It was a lovely morning. We didn’t win but had a good time.”

Jess also praised the event itself, adding: “[there were some] great educational presentations,” but she reserved her warmest words for the staff themselves, as she commented it was “lovely for the Francis House IPC champions to be recognised for the work they do!”

Speaking before the ceremony, Donna [pictured right with Louise left below] – who is the Domestic Lead at the house –  said: “I am delighted to be nominated, but we are all just doing our job as a team”.

It has been a nomination-filled period for the Trust, with Deputy Manager Toni-Ann Whitehouse and Support worker Jean Maund nominated in separate categories at the recent Learning Disabilities And Autism Awards, held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham last month.
