Villa Fan Conor Has Double Reason To Celebrate

28 May 2024 | Category: News

Aston Villa had a wonderful Premier League season, making the Champions League – and many of our Residents, Tenants, and Staff are excited at the prospect.

However, one of those Tenants, Conor, had a double reason to celebrate the end of the campaign  – as he won his own trophy with the Villains.

Conor has been playing for the Aston Villa Mixed Ability side throughout the year and recently took part in a tournament at Portway Leisure Centre in the Black Country where they finished as Runners Up.

After a goal-filled route to the final which saw wins over local teams including West Brom and Stourbridge, they played Solihull – a team they had beaten earlier in the tournament – and lost out.

Conor, pictured above – who played all the games and had played throughout the season – had enjoyed the day: “We did well, we played good football”, he said.

He will return to the team next season adding: “I hope we can win next time.”

Turning his attention to his beloved Aston Villa – where he has a season ticket and attends games with Trust staff –  he had big ambitions for them too. “It’s great to be in the Champions League, I think we can win it!” he admitted.

Conor also plays football on Monday nights with some of his friends from the Trust, as they enjoy an hour at Goals, Star City.
